Embroidered, PVC or printed: which patch fits your logo?
The three patch types we make most, and the one question that usually decides between them.

Most people pick a patch type by look. A better way is to start with what the patch goes on and how much detail is in the logo.
Embroidered
Thread stitched onto twill. It has texture you can feel and survives washing well, which is why it is the default for uniforms, hats and jackets. Thread can't follow very fine detail, so text below about a quarter inch tall and soft color gradients get simplified.
PVC
Soft rubber poured into a mold. Edges stay sharp, raised layers are possible, and water, sun and mud don't hurt it. That makes it the usual choice for bags, tactical gear and outdoor work wear, often with a hook and loop backing.
Printed
Your artwork printed in full color on fabric, then finished with a border. Use it when the design has photos, shading or many colors that thread would flatten.
The question that decides it
Ask: will this patch get wet, scraped or handled a lot? If yes, look at PVC. If it needs to show photo-level detail, printed. For almost everything else, embroidered. If you are still unsure, send us the logo and tell us where it goes.
